      Philipp Kindermann, Fabian Lipp and Wadim Reimche achieved first place in the manual category of the Graph Drawing Challenge at the 22nd International Symposium on Graph Drawing (GD'14) in Würzburg.

    • Best student contribution, Schematic Mapping '14

      At Schematic Mapping 2014, Thomas van Dijk was awarded Best Student Contribution, for joint work with Arthur van Goethem, Wouter Meulemans, Bettina Speckmann (TU Eindhoven) and Jan-Henrik Haunert (Osnabrück University). The award is for the poster "An Automated Method for Circular-Arc Metro Maps" and was sponsored by the British Cartographic Society. [poster]

      At the ACM International Conference on Advances in Geographic Information Systems (ACMGIS) 2013 in Orlando, Thomas van Dijk und Jan-Henrik Haunert presented their paper "Accentuating Focus Maps via Partial Schematization," which is joint work with the Eindhoven University of Technology.
